Folks,
I am searching for a little assistance with locating a H&S
plan for a creche. I have been asked to help a young lassie with
her exams and although I have given her some material and she has
also found a lot of material herself, I am a little lost when it
comes to the overall plan requirements that her college wants.
I don't want to "copy" a plan but need to look at the format. If
you can assist in any way I would appreciate it greatly.
Thanks in advance,
Jim

Try http://shop.pre-school.org.uk and then search for
"safety". This pulls up quite a few documents, some of which are
free downloads. They are mostly checklists but this will give you a
feel for the different perspective needed for hazard spotting for
children of this age group.
HSE (UK) recommend using their standardised "Five Steps to Risk
Assessment" Tool for educational establishments.
Ofsted have a Safe & Sound website which review performance of
pre-school health & safety
HSE (EIRE) have an Inspection Tool and Guidance for pre-school establsihements and
Reports on inspection visits.
Regards
Richard
