Useful certifications for HSE professionals

Hi there,
Would someone suggest if there is any useful certifications
related to Oil and Gas sector, i have already completed NEBOSH
IGC and working as a safety officer in a thermal power plant, any
info will be greatly appreciated.

There is another NEBOSH Cert specifically for the Oil & Gas
industry. You can find the details here:

NEBOSH appear to imply that this would be taken after getting the
IGC.

is this course mandatory to work in Oil and Gas sector? Duration ?

I wouldn't think it is mandatory, but may make you more employable
in that sector. It will be entirely down to the employer as to the
qualifications and experience they are looking for for any
particular post.
Duration of the course will depend on the mode of learning -
contact the training providers (their conatct details are available
on the NEBOSH site

i am planing to get the NIBOSH IGC, but because my major is HSEQ in
an Oil Company, do not you suggest me to get NIBOSH Cer for oil
& Gas industry

I think Australia has a scoring system for work visas. If you talk
to the Australian cosulate in your country or visit their website
they should provide some information on acceptable qualifications
and how they are scored.
