Hi
Can anybody tell me what a HSE Consultant can charge per day.
I was thinking of somebody with perhaps Nebosh General and Nebosh
Fire Saefty Certificates who would go around small and meduim sized
businesses and create all the risk assesments/coshh/fire plan
Just looking at some options for the future and would greatly
appreciate some advice
Cheers

Start the other way round. What is the absolute minimum salary you
need to pay your bills etc. What is the cost of sales and taxation
you would pay on income earned. Add these two numbers together.
Divide this number by 230 days (365 - weekends - annual leave -
bank holidays). This is the minimum dayrate you neeed to survive,
if you can get 100% workrate, which is unlikely, so maybe you have
to double this initial figure.
£100 dayrate for 230 days = £23,000
£200 dayrate for 230 days = £46,000
£400 dayrate for 230 days = £92,000
Start out with a low dayrate, get some clients under your belt,
then start incrementally increasing your dayrate for new clients.
