They are currently recruiting for the position of HSE Manager,
based in Greenford.
Job Description
Under general guidance (from HSE Director) prepare project HSE
plans to cover the phases when the project is still being
engineered and procured, when the modules are being built within
a large fabrication yard, and then for when the project is at
site during construction
Manage the legislative compliance aspects of design office
activities - DSE, Risk Assessment etc
Develop and deliver project inductions and other HSE training as
required
Work as part of a project team, interfacing with engineering,
project management, procurement and construction
Manage a small team of HSE professionals working on the project
Skills & Experience
Formal Qualification in HSE - Nebosh General Certificate minimum
Familiarity with and competency in managing UK office and site
teams
Experience of working on Chemical/Petrochemical/LNG projects
Ability to work with Senior project Team members to build HSE
solutions into project execution plans
Experience of developing project HSE Plans for home office
locations and for construction sites
Fluent with all standard Microsoft office packages
Able to effectively deliver project inductions and specific
training
Ability to lead a small team (probably about 4 HSE officers)
Experience of developing HSE plans on large petrochemical/LNG
projects
Ability to work under general guidance with little direct
supervision
Good understanding of the different aspects of HSE within
projects - home office, travel, vendor works, fabrication yards,
construction sites etc
Familiarity with Australian HSE legislation and practices
Familiarity with behavioural safety practices
Experience of working with chemical hazards
Familiarity with HSE Management Systems, - ISO 14001 and OHSAS
18001
This is a contract position.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
