Job Description
Our client is a major Oil & Gas Operating company with a

As Technical Safety Engineer your main responsibilities will
include
Manage the Technical Safety Elements of the Projects Group
ensuring that activities executed are consistent with company
goals, strategies and UK Legislation.Manage workscopes executed
by Engineering Design and Construction Contractors and
ConsultantsInterface with Company Corporate Safety
DepartmentsMonitor and Control the progress of design
deliverables to the desired quality standard with regard also to
cost and scheduleEnsure all Technical Safety activities are
carried out in accordance with Company Values, Procedures and
SpecificationsCo-ordinate the preparation, tendering, evaluation,
award of purchase orders relating to technical safety including
those elements contained within the larger detail design,
construction, hook up and commissioning contracts.Co-ordinate all
necessary third party safety studies to support development of
the facilities and achieve statutory approvals.Review project
documentation to ensure compliance with project EHS policies,
strategy, procedures and standards.Provide technical input into
statutory authority approvals and license applicationsLiaise with
Independent Verification BodyEnsure material changes to Safety
Case/Performance Standards are completed and submitted within the
correct timeframeConduct all activities in a safe and effective
manner and raise safety and environmental issues immediately and
in line with corporate policy.
Qualifications/TrainingChartered Engineer Preferred, Relevant
Engineering Degree or equivalent experienceExtensive knowledge
and experience in application of Technical Safety Engineering
(including the applicable regulations, codes and standards) and
safety assessment techniques
Knowledge/Skills/ExperienceEngineer with considerable relevant
engineering experience in Technical Safety matters within Oil
& Gas EnvironmentFully conversant with requirements of UK
offshore regulatory regimeAbility to plan and produce technical
safety deliverables relative to major project requirementsAbility
to manage technical safety & EHS plans, estimates and
deliverable production by E&C Contractor and Consultants
