(ideally oil and gas) of both coaching/facilitating front line
health and safety issues and of ensuring that fit for purpose
health and safety management systems are in place and being
effectively implemented. At least five years of the ten should
have been in the UK.

Job Description
• Facilitate the achievement of high standards of operational
health and safety.
• Ensure that a fit for purpose operational safety management
system is in place and being effectively implemented
• Ensure that a fit for purpose occupational health management
system is in place and being effectively implemented
• Ensure that human factors issues related to occupational health
and operational safety are being effectively managed
• Keep up to date with occupational health and operational safety
regulations and ensure that the management systems are modified
as necessary.
• Manage the interface with the regulator in respect of
occupational health and operational safety
• Lead a small team of health and safety specialists who are to
coach the implementation of the occupational health and
operational safety management systems
• Co`ordinate the safety reps network and provide occupational
health and operational safety leadership by engaging with the
workforce
• Lead / undertake operational risk assessments in support of
operations, projects and drilling.
• Undertake front line occupational health and operational safety
coaching as required.
• Undertake investigations into accidents/near misses as required
• Ensure that an effective inspection system is in place to
monitor the implementation of the occupational health and
operational safety management systems
