NEBOSH offers both a Certificate and Diploma in Environmental
Management. IEMA offer a range of membership grades upto Fellow and
Chartered Environmentalist.
Looking at the information on the two websites I would say that the
distinction between them is not in acceptability to employers but
what your career path is. The NEBOSH qualifications appear to be
for those in Health & Safety Management who are also asked to
manage Environmental performance. The IEMA qualifications appears
to be more "pure" environment, i.e. foir those specialising in
environmental management only.

Dear Mr. Anthony,
You can go with the comments passed by Mr. Richard. IEMA focus on
totally different scope of work. They are International Emergency
Managers Association and their focus is to take specialists who
have academic qualification in same subjects to work at city,
division, state, province or national level.
On the other hand NEBOSH, as it is clear from its name is
occupational body and can help in great deals with recruitment
purpose. Also, NEBOSH is very famous in OHS world and IEMA doesn't
have that authority in OHS world.

Sorry but IEMA is the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment
and therefore Anthony's question is relevant and it is a potential
qualification for those interested in developing a career with an
element of Environmental responsibilities. The Associateship exam
is the entry level membership available for those working in health
& safety.

Acronyms meh; Good job he wasn't asking about IEMA and Emergency
Management or I would have made the inverse mistake. Easily done.
And I have learned something as well.

Richard
