HSE People - Health and Safety Community

After being made redundant almost 3 years ago I was forced to start my own business and undertook as a back up a Nebosh General Certificate which i did quite well in. This in turn has led to me undertaking a part time degree in Occupational Health and Safety which I am due to complete this summer, despite knocking doors, telephone calls and job applications I am finding it quite hard to get in anywhere to gain some work experience or get in as a trainee anywhere.

If anyone could point me in the right direction or give me any advice on the best way to approach this I would be grateful.

I am very hard working, honest, reliable and work well as a member of a team or on my own, I have undertaken some projects over the last year or two for small businesses asisting them with their health and safety but would like to take the next step.
