Stora Enso plans to build plantation-based integrated board and
pulp mills at Beihai city in Guangxi, southern China. The mill site
will initially include a 450 000 tonnes per year state−of−the−art
paperboard machine and pulp capacity of 900 000 tonnes per year,
including necessary energy plant and auxiliary facilities. In a
unique set−up, the board and pulp mills will be self−sufficiently
integrated with wood supply from 120 000 hectares of self−managed
eucalyptus plantations. The ultimate target is to expand the
paperboard capacity to 900 000 tonnes at a later
stage.

Safety &Security Manager
Description
• Take Safety and Security management responsibilities in the
Project;
• Responsible for drafting and updating Project safety &
security rules and regulations to ensure the effective
implementation of safety regulations
• Organize and implement the overall project safety trainings, and
the training for persons prior to their working on site• Supervise
site safety performance and follow up the safety corrective
measures when necessary
• Organize safety inspections and regular safety meetings together
with SE’s and contractor’s representatives
• Organize and coordinate the overall implementation of safety
policies in the Project, his/her ultimate task is to achieve “0”
accident target in the Project, implementation together with other
Project management team and other members
• Ensure the qualification needed for the contractor’s employees
for special works
• Evaluate contractor’s safety performance, and keep management
team informed
• Closely communicate with authorities regarding project safety
issues
• Safety Document/Record management
• Keep close communication with the project management team
regarding project safety issues
• Site security management
Location is Beihai city, Guangxi Province and the position reports
to Project Director
Requirements
• University or College degree in
Mechanics/Engineering/Management
• Moderate English is required and Chinese is must
• Deep knowledge of own area
• Computer literacy
• Experience in safety management with big Projects in
China
• Good management capabilities to supervise
subordinates
• Ability to supervise consultants/contractors to expected
outcome
• Open-minded person with ability to work within an international
team and cross cultural skills
• Strong communication skills. Good communication skills in verbal
and written English, Chinese is an advantage
• Ability to work under pressure
