This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health, Safety
& Environmental Manager (HSE) Manager to join the Midlands
region facing a growing number of Health & Safety projects as
it develops its already strong existing programmes. This site is
the largest manufacturing and distribution facility within the
business and you’ll be a key member of the leadership team,
responsible for planning and leading the implementation of
strategies and initiatives for HSE. You’ll be heard and have your
insights acted on as you provide expertise and support to others
by acting as the champion and catalyst for culture change towards
‘Safety First’ principles.
The Regional HSE Manager will facilitate continuous improvement
with health, safety and environmental policies, plans and
procedures by the use of personal influence, robust planning,
advice and support to ensure:
• development and implementation of the annual Regional Plan with
the objective of significantly improving health, safety and
environmental performance
• the Region continually increases its audit rating
• reduction of accident and work related ill health rates
• 100% compliance with accident/incident reporting recording and
investigation criteria including timely and accurate compilation
of data and statistics for statutory and company returns.
Likely to be of graduate calibre with experience of successful
development and implementation of significant HSE initiatives,
you will have IOSH membership through NEBOSH certificate or its
equivalent as a minimum qualification and are likely to have or
be working towards the NEBOSH Diploma. Experience in comparable
manufacturing/distribution environment and working within a
recognized H & S management system or OHSAS18001 framework
would be advantageous. You must have a proven track record in
delivering results with determination and energy, even when under
pressure, in addition to having strong analytical and
interpersonal skills.
