What is "CAT's"?

CAT's is an acronym for Corrective Actions Tracking Software for the Health, Safety and Environment industrial sector. The term "CAT's" really refers to a database driven enterprise software application that covers data from the various broad fields of environment and waste management, occupational health and medical, safety and industrial hygiene. Typically an HSE manager would be responsible for collecting and storing HSE data for their organization in an HSE software application such as CAT's. That HSE manager will use data over long periods of time to do trending, risk analysis and data mining by utilizing CAT's reporting tools. HSE managers can play a large roll in compliance, minimization of risk and savings corporate wide with an HSE software tool at their disposal.
The main goal of this HSE-CATS' software is to bring together large amounts of data from various disciplines into one centralized data management application (usually driven by a mid-sized back end database such as Microsoft Access to large enterprise servers such as Microsoft SQL Server & SharePoint Portal Server). In doing so, an organization can now start looking at their Inspections data over longer periods of time to see trends and act on them. This leads to one of the most important aspects of any business which can be handled by CATS' software.
CATS' helps in Centralized Inspections Planning, it can help a HSE Planning Engineer plan a visit to any RIG/Oil WELL or Area in a matter of less than a minute.
CAT’s can generate a future visit plan based on the engineers last date of visit for the complete year in a matter of 3-4 seconds
CATS' records all findings under the HSE Engineer’s account who has logged in.
CATS' records all multimedia content created for every finding, such as Videos and Pictures can be uploaded into the Portal which helps in centralization of content[s] in a secured collaborative environment.
Since Inspection data recorded by the authoring HSE Engineer is in a centralized database and its related multimedia content is recorded in a centralized secured portal, all information is easily available on a mouse click even in the absence of the authoring HSE Engineer.
Time and Communications gaps are reduced from a matter of days to seconds, because no sooner the Findings for any Operational Team are recorded and confirmed as saved they are spontaneously available to that team in a matter of seconds.
Daily reports from the Admin as well as Team level can be generated to identify the statistics on Findings recorded for every team and their completion status, further classified by RIG/WELL/TEAM and many more parameters.
