by Robert Myles 11 months agoKevin - get a grip - think about it if you said they don't need to wear eye protection and something happened where would you be then - maybe your issue is the type of glasses your issuing to the guys - funny how Roadbridge never had any issues. and after all are you not being asked to comply with the rules of mandatory PPE that you have put in place. are we now saying that in the drizzle and rain there is no potential of something entering someones eye - especially in the civils indistry where muck and dus are a daily hazard - maybe what we should do is tell them not to wear them and waitr until someone gets injured and be a bit reactive and implement after the damage has been done - and lets be honest when we are asking for people opinion the Shetlands is not wet all the time winds are a bigger problem than rain - look at wind blown debris or even as firstly mentioned a better more suitable type of safety glasses - look forward to seeing you on the 15th MARCH
