In honor of North Carolina Winter Weather Preparedness Week (Nov. 29 through Dec. 5), SafetySkills™ is offering a Hazardous Driving Conditions online course free to the public all week long.
“We want people to get where they’re going safely and enjoy the holidays with their loved ones,” said Trey Greene, CEO of noodleStream.com. “During this time of year, more people travel for the holidays and the weather is considerably more dangerous. Our Hazardous Driving Conditions course addresses these concerns and will be available to anyone completely free this week.”
75 percent of all winter weather related deaths can be attributed to driving in dangerous weather conditions. With over 38 million people expected to travel at least 50 miles during the holidays, safe driving practices should be of the utmost importance.
According to the National Weather Service, “preparation for winter storms is of more importance this year since it has been several years since a major winter storm has affected central North Carolina. Everyone should use this week to look ahead to the upcoming winter months and prepare for the possibility of winter storms.”
The SafetySkills™ Hazardous Driving Conditions course is normally valued at $19.95 but can be taken without charge by visiting http://www.safetyskills.com/winter-driving through Dec. 5, 2009.
