About
I was in the RAF for 12 years before leaving to become self employed as a Forklift trainer/examiner.
I was self employed for 7 years and carried out training on a variety of equipment and safety topics before joining a national training company which had several major contracts with blue chip companies where I became Regional Training Manager responsible for Scotland.
I have been employed by my current company since Aug 05 initially as training manager but in Mar 06 I moved into HSE. At present I have recently completed my Diploma in NVQ Level 4 Occupational Health & Safety. I have been instrumental in my site gaining a 5 star audit award from the British Safety Council and OHSAS 18001 Acreditation
My qualifications include ;
Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
ITSSAR Accredited Instructor / Examiner
CIEH Environmental Waste Management
Trainer in Manual Handling, HAVS, 5S, Abrasive Wheels, Advanced Safety Audits, Risk Assessments & COSHH Awareness
Fire Risk Assessments
CPCS Validator
Internal QMS Auditor
I am a highly motivated, well organised Health, Safety & Environemental Coordinator demonstrating a wide range of Health & Safety skills, I would like to offer these transferrable skills to an innovative , forward thinking organisiation.
I am a confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to rapidly gain trust and respect from both Management and general workforce, through self-motivation, dedication and commitment to the well being of both the individual and the Organisation's continued safety culture success.
