HSE People - Health and Safety Community

I am 55 years old and have been involved in health and safety since 1979, as a safety representative, departmental manager and currently, as a full time health, safety and environmental manager for a company manufacturing detergents in the northwest of England. Throughout this period my enthusiasm for maintaining good health and safety standards has remained undimmed.
I consider myself to be very much a team player, with good communication skills and this is reflected in my current role which involves dealing with members of staff at all levels within the company from senior managers and directors to employee representatives etc. During this I consider it to be vital that an even handed approach is adopted.
I am a graduate member of IOSH and expect to become chartered by the autumn of 2009.
On a personal level, I am married with 2 teenage children. I am a keen supporter of the EPL's newest member(Burnley FC) and play golf whenever possible.
