EHS Consultant – Cork (homebased) or Dublin – €45,000 – €50,000

Our client is an industry leader providing a management software solution to various industries and clients including Honeywell, Siemens and HP. Their systems cover areas including health and safety, accessibility, environment and sustainable event management.

Job responsibilities -

  • Conducting legislative compliance assessments and audits in Ireland and the UK
  • Preparing customised legal registers to clients across a variety of sectors
  • Meeting new clients to identify applicable regulatory requirements
  • Delivering product training to client management teams
  • Reviewing and monitoring legislation to identify key requirements for clients
  • Managing multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensuring quality standards on project deliverables
  • Effectively managing and building client relationships leading to repeat business

Candidate requirements -

  • At least 2 years consultancy or industry experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Environmental Health & Safety Legislation and Guidance Documents in Ireland and the UK
  • Experience in compliance auditing
  • Analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Energy and drive to deliver
  • Planning, organising and work management skills
  • Achievement oriented
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint (or equivalent)
  • Experience in project management and client liaison

Qualifications -

  • BSc degree (or equivalent) within an Engineering or Science discipline is essential, and an additional MSc within a relevant subject would be preferred
  • Membership of IOSH and IEMA is desirable
