This role as Head of HSE will be to lead the HSE function across the UK both strategically and practically, to deliver a robust HSE programme to a diverse and disparate business. Managing a large team, the role has direct and indirect reports and will be responsible for management of key stakeholder responsibilities to build collaborative and sustainable relationships ensuring business continuity.
This is a challenging role where proactive relationship management is key to success and candidates will need to be able to demonstrate a track record of working in a competitive, fast paced business working in a cooperative manner working with internal and external stakeholders.
Candidates should be Chartered Members of IOSH and ideally have experience of working with Environmental issues such as carbon reduction. A mixed industry background would be ideal working across high risk environments such as manufacturing or infrastructure.
The role is flexible in its location provided candidates have easy access to main routes in England primarily. The role will include occasional weekend and night working.
It will be required for candidates to have a successful and proven track record of managing teams across large multi-functional and diverse businesses operating at a senior management level. A key requirement will be a strategic ability to create and evolve effective change in a business, where required, through good communication and pragmatic advice.
