£250 - £275 per day including expenses


Maplefield have been engaged by one of the world’s leading engineering contractors to recruit a qualified Temporary Works Coordinator TWC to review and monitor temporary works on a multi million pound engineering project in the Middlesbrough area.

The successful candidate will have previously worked managing temporary works on National Grid projects holding a valid BESC and Persons ticket to enable you to work on National Grid sites. Aspects of the projects include slope stability, deep excavation and scaffolding and will see you liaise with the sub contractors temporary works designer to ensure designs and spec are implemented properly on site. You will coordinate all planned / any subsequent temporary works from initial project design through construction to final completion.

Responsibilities and Experience:

  • Coordination of all temporary works
  • Have previous experience managing the delivery of the temporary works packages on electrical engineering or industrial NG projects
  • Have experience managing and implementing temporary works design and selecting / overseeing contractors.
  • Have strong knowledge of the Health and Safety Regulations and Approved Codes of Practice in respect of temporary works.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and they ability to build relationships and influence decision making
  • Assist with the identification of scheme’s Temporary Works requirements during the design stage, as well as during construction.
  • Ensure business processes and systems for Temporary Works are implemented in particular the Temporary Works Management Procedure
  • Liaise with Temporary Works designers, checkers and site personnel.

The contract is for an initial 3 months with extension available and the chance to work on several new projects due to land in Q2 of 2018 and are offering a day rate up to £275 per day including expenses.

It is essential that you have worked on National Grid sites before as the client will not consider any applications from candidates that haven’t.
